Why a new hospital?

RCH has always provided the best care to kids from Victoria and all over the world. But things have changed a lot since the current hospital was designed over 40 years ago.

- Today families and carers are encouraged to stay and help care for their kids
- Kids now get sick for different reasons
- They’re cared for in different ways, and
- The RCH does a lot more research and teaching than in the past and has a strong focus on keeping kids healthy.
